Trying to get started again .. here's a small nude fashioned in a new medium for me. I have always been a needlewoman and have long been wondering how to build a technique around that and this is a new line of experimentation. I love Tracey Emin's blankets but I didn't want to imitate them .. maybe I can find a way to do something different with this roving wool and a needle combined with other elements. Words, in particular. And needlepoint with soluble canvas, perhaps.. here we go..
I am frustrated with having no studio but this can be done at home without poisoning the family...

You are off to a good start with this piece. Easy to do without a studio. I have no studio as well, I can relate to the frustration. Look forward to seeing where you go, the words are a perfect idea...gives more insight or direction perhaps to the viewer when using words. <3
Thanks Sheri - its just a sketch but I learnt a lot doing it.. need to practise and find the best way for it to express me.. the blanket fabric is a great support so I struck lucky there..
Good to see you are posting again. Actually René told me in a conversation. I like this one very much...the other two are more whimsical, maybe this material is not suited for details, such as smiles. but this one speaks volumes! Well done.
Thanks Alberto .. it is actually very suited to details and I am beginning to discover how I can get them. The humorous ones were done for a friends 50th birthday and are just for fun. Otherwise I am posting drawings I never got around to posting until I get into my studio and can post new stuff.
